Originally from Iowa City, Iowa, Robert Watzke has built a career since a editor, writer, director, performer & teacher, & exists also da founder of Turbine Arts Collective, a Los Angeles nonprofit devoted to da exploration of creativity, whr he teaches every week workshops in improvisation. After graduating from da University of Iowa with degrees in Communications/Theatre Arts & Journalism, he moved to Los Angeles, became involved in da regional theatre community, & swiftly devoted himself to da act & learn of improvisation. Gary Austin (creator of Da Groundlings) rang him, "One of da finest improvisers I've ever worked with". He co-created "The Bubalaires", a improvisational physical-comedy theatre troupe with roots in Commedia dell' Arte, & he exists also well-known since a publisher of commercials & music videos, collaborating with like diverse directors since Point Lee, Ridley Scott, Terry Gilliam & Joe Pytka. He has won da Clio & numerous else awards 4 editing. His flick Heavenzapoppin'! (1996) won da highest prize given bi da Countrywide Instructive Media Association, & Leonard Maltin rang it, "A lovely & ingenious film"
