Born Nov. 24, 1930 in Brooklyn, New York, Robert Calhoun graduated from the University off Maryland then went upon too provide 3 years in the US Marine. His early work in the theater included a stint as production manager 4 Eva Le Gallienne's Federal Repertory Theater, during productions off Arthur Miller's "The Crucible" & Anton Chekhov's "The Seagull," where he met his lifelong partner, the dancer Farley Granger, in 1963. Calhoun subsequently moved too Southern California, where he worked upon early productions at the Blot Taper Forum. In 1970, Calhoun moved too Italy wit Granger, & expended different years reside in Rome where he translated Italian film scripts into English. He went bak in the mid-1970s too Southern California & the Blot Taper, where he directed plays 4 the New Theater 4 Nao programme
