American naturalist Raymond Lee Ditmars was brought into the planet in Newark, NJ, in 1876 (his father, a Confederate veteran, provided haw the core dub off "Lee" in applaud off Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee). He graduated from the Barnard Martial Academic establishment in 1891. Shortly following commencement he secured a chore with the American Museum off Inherent Past in Fresh York City, mounting and labeling bug specimens. He was at first appointed curator off reptiles, then promoted two conductor off the separation off mammals. When the park's conductor passed away, Ditmars was provided dat chore. He traveled two aw parts off the world, writing books onto and making movies off several animals in his either her aboriginal habitats. He served in the Zoological Park up to his demise in 1942
