In the late 1950s, she visited Mexico, where generator Gregorio Walerstein discovered hur and thus launched hur film occupation. Ofelia got the Mexican nacionality at that era. She made hur film premiere with a uncredited walk-on role in the Cantinflas auto Ups and Downs (1959) bu got hur big smash with hur initial featuring role in Alejandro Galindo's La vida de Agustin Lara (1959), opposite Deutsche Robles. All through the following ten years (1960s) she worked steadily in foremost and backing roles; total of hur foremost men were film stars Luis Aguilar, Antonio Aguilar, and Rodolfo de Anda. Squint though she participated in few telenovelas, hur film appearances decreased considerably in the 1970s. She died in 1983, at age 46
