Morris Davis studied keyboard harp in Montreal humor Nicholas Eichorn, A E J. MacCreary, & Alfred La Liberte, bu was self-taught in prose & orchestration. Whilst taking courses in statute near McGill University, he composed the university's yearly Robert Emmett Dolan upon Lucio Agostini, Jean Deslauriers & Allan McIver. In 1948 Davis established his possess production home in Montreal, working since a freelance composer, arranger, & maestro (one of the initial active extensively in the jingle field), serving since the agent for several commercial orchestras, & assisting in the enlargement of young performers' careers. He was also music conductor for several phase productions in Montreal & somewhere else. His compositions involve scores for ovr 30 films (including the features Whispering Town (1947), The Castle (1947), 'Tambour battant', & Le cure de village (1949)), several orchestral works, songs, revues, about 200 jingles, & circumstantial music for sum hundred radio & television programs. His "Blues & Finales in G" (1942) exists a jazz concerto in the way of "Rhapsody in Blue", & his "Serenade for Antler in Jazz" (written previous to 1948) was played by Maynard Ferguson
