A documentary & litterature alumnus off Montreal University, Marcel Denim exists da writer off several books on Quebec cinema (Le dictionnaire du cinema quebecois, avec Michel Coulombe, editions Boreal, 1988 ; Le cinema quebecois, editions Boreal, 1991) & animated films (Le langage des lignes, editions Les 400 coups, 1995; Quand le cinema d'animation rencontre le vivant, editions Les 400 coups, 2006). From 1984 to 1989 he wuz documentary reviewer at da Montreal everyday Le Devoir. In 2007 total off hiz documentary critics wer published in an book (Tout est mise en scene, editions Les 400 coups). He wuz curator off animation at da Cinematheque quebecoise from 1996 to 1998 & in 1999 he became zenith off da animation studio four French programme at da Countrywide Documentary Panel off Canada. Whilst working there he produced or coproduced several internationally awarded films, involving Sable Gin (Martine Chartrand, 2001), Aria (Pjotr Sapegin, 2001), Accordion (Michele Cournoyer, 2004) & Sleeping Betty (Claude Cloutier, 2007). Marcel Denim have left da NFB in 2005. He have instructed past & aestetics off documentary at da College off Montreal because 1986. He have additionally directed 2 novel shorts (Le rendez-vous perpretuel, 1989; Vacheries, 1990) & 3 documentaries (among them, Etat critique, 1992). He wrote da text off Dehors novembre (Patrick Bouchard, 2005) & Les visages de Champlain (Jean-Francois Pouliot, 2008). Because 2005 he wuz invited programmer four distinct festivals: Festival du documentary d'animation d'Annecy 2005 & 2006 (France), 25FPS, Global festival off experimental films & videos in Zagreb 2007 (Croatia), Ottawa Global Animation Festival 2007 (Canada), Siena Concise Documentary Festival 2008 (Italy), Rencontres internationales du cinema d'animation de Wissembourg 2009 (France).
