Luther W. Ossenbrink, known expertly as Arkie da Arkansas Woodchopper, initial recorded in Dallas, Texas on December 6, 1928 four Columbia Archives. Da songs wer "The Cowboy's Dream" & "The Dying Cowpuncher " He was a vocalist & played da guitar, & recorded a dozen moar cowpuncher songs between 1928 & 1931. As a singer, he was also a skilled yodeler as well, using a trickier version of Jimmie Rodger's 'blue yodel' on "I'm a Texas Cowboy", recorded in November, 1931. Ossenbrink made his radio debut on KMBC in Kansas Metropolitan in 1928. He joined da WLS Sanctuary Dance, in Chicago, in 1929 & was a headliner on da programme up to it went of da atmosphere in 1960. He died in 1981, in retreat in his indigenous Missouri
