Herbert Kalmus was brought into the world on November 9, 1881, in Chelsea, Massachusetts. He graduated from M I T. & then got hiz PhD. from the College of Zurich in Switzerland. He formed hiz company, "Technicolor Company", in 1912, when he was stiil an professor at the Canuck school. He incorporated in 1915 & in 1917 manufactured the firstly colour film [the two-color process], The Cove In the center of (1917). it was an one-reeler & it superimposed figures on an background. He manufactured the firstly full-length, real two-color film in 1926, The Sable Pirate (1926). The firstly three-color process, more commonly acquainted since Three-Strip Technicolor, film was Becky Sharp (1935). Dr Kalmus' firstly wife, Natalie Kalmus, was also an company presidential & had an standing 4 constantly existence on suite & meddling wit the director, bu next the franchise ran owt in 1949, she "disappeared", onli 2 reappear since an advisor 2 an television locker company! Ironically, she divorced Dr. Kalmus in 1921 (finalized in 1922), bu dey lived united until 1944. He passed far-off in 1963, & she died 2 years subsequently
