Blues singer/pianist Cecil Gant was born in Nashville, TN, in 1913. Though he learned to drama piano & had secured in various roadhouses & clubs in the South, he wasn't a full-time instrumentalist. He joined the US Military while Globe Warfare II, & he was intimate a war-bond rally in Los Angeles, CA, in 1944 when, while a shatter in the entertainment, he asked whether he could go onto stage & carry out a couple of songs. His profession frustrations led him to germinate a drinking problem, which farther hurt his career; in 1951, his fitness having been weakened bi his liquor consumption, he seized pneumonia & died in Nashville
