Some from my short story about a special girls life.
Lennarth Olin
“The Girl with Warm Hands.”
Once upon a time, under a big walnut tree, there were two houses. In one house there was a lonely woman and in the other house there was another lonely woman. The woman in the first house was a little lonelier than the woman in the second. Because her husband was killed up in the mountains by being hit by a bullet in the forehead. A painless death, at least, said his enemies in the village. A completely painless death, they continued. And she was left alone in this world in this house under the walnut tree, past which a stream rippled and flowed night and day. The walnut tree’s shadow mingled with the mountain’s, and the mountain’s shadow grew darker and darker, and then evening came. In the evening the water began to flow. She screamed. No one heard. She screamed even more, for help. But no one heard. She screamed really loud. But still no one came.
In the other house slept Aunt Xec, a notorious midwife in the area, more than 70 years old but no younger, involved in most of the worldly and non-worldly affairs of the area and widow of a man who left her ten years ago. They had no children together, although without her intervention, most of the children who were born would not have made it to this world. It was said that she knew through spirit mediums which women needed her help immediately. So no one had to run after her when the water started to flow. She came herself when it was time. But that night when her neighbor called for her, she was sleeping. She slept so deeply that not even the widely talked about spirit mediums who whispered in her ear about women in labor in the area were able to wake her with their whispers.
In this frustration and helplessness, she suddenly came into the world. She cried and her mother stretched out her thin arms after her and grabbed her naked body. She cried out of nervousness, curiosity, or perhaps fear of the challenge of being born. With scissors that her mother had placed next to her, her umbilical cord was cut.
Dad dead, neighbor sleeping, only mom there. And now you're here too, her mom whispered in her little ear, exhausted by the temptations of childbirth and thoughts of the uncertainty of the future. And mom grabbed her hand with her fingers. And she was shocked. They weren't normal hands. My girl must either be sick, or have an unusually high fever, mom thought. But she looked so healthy and well. She cried so loudly and beautifully. So she wasn't sick. But she was different. She has different hands. They're so warm, mom thought and let her lie on her chest. And then in that moment, her mom forgot that she had to clean the whole room, wash everything, recover from the birth, cook, get strength for the milk and everyday chores. The only thing that meant anything in this world was the embrace between her and her newborn daughter with those little warm hands.
In the other house, Aunt Xec was tossing and turning in bed. She must have had one of those dreams that she would have told her husband in the morning while she sat by the samovar, pouring tea for herself and him in small cups, if he were still alive.
Climbing trees is something very normal, but climbing trees and almost having to come down is not something normal, especially when it happens every day.
Why don't you come down Lollo? Said her mother.
Mom, I have a friend here, who doesn't want to be alone.
But I don't see a friend. I only see you up there. My heart's darling! It can be dangerous, don't you know that?
Yes, mom, I know, but I'm careful.
That friend was actually with her. She only had one friend who was far from "normal". At least as abnormal as her. He was a small, confused spirit who, after an air raid on his home village, had lost his head. He used to carry his head with his left arm. Sometimes he would be playful and throw it to her. She was an expert at catching flying objects, so it wasn't a problem for her to catch his head.
When he lost his head, he didn't die. He just picked it up and ran after mom who had been hiding behind a rock with the rest of the family. He called out to them. But the only thing they did was cry over the fact that he had been hit and dead. He called out to his mother, and he grabbed his mother's multicolored full-body robe while holding his head with his left arm. But no reaction. No answer. He didn't understand why his mother didn't see him even though he was calling her name in her ear. She didn't even react, he used to tell and cry. Lollo would always think of some song she had heard on the radio that she sang to him and calmed him down with, when every day, sitting on the same branch, he told the story of how he lost his head and lost his mother.
But Lollo! We have no firewood. Come down and boil the water for me, her mother shouted.
//. Good mom, I'm coming! Lollo replied, waving goodbye to his two-piece friend and climbing down the walnut tree to the ground.
She immediately ran to Mom, washed her hands in the stream with soap, put them in the big pot filled with water, and after a few minutes the water began to boil. Mother! Lollo said, why doesn't anyone come to visit us? I don't know, Lollo, Mom replied bitterly, turning away to look at Aunt Xec's window as she always did. Why doesn't anyone live in that house? Lollo asked. Someone lives in that house. But since you were born, no one has been able to enter it. Some say that it has become a stronghold of spirits and as long as the world exists it will be inaccessible to living beings. Why since I was born? Because you are a miraculous child, the light of my eyes! Since all of Lollo's non-worldly friends were terrified of cars and vehicles, they all disappeared at once, when some military vehicles approached and were about to pass by Lollo who was sucking his thumb on top of a manure heap. She was surprised that all her friends suddenly disappeared and so she stood there and watched cars pass by her. They were gray cars with grumpy gentlemen in them, who had big black rifles and other weapons in their hands, and spoke a strange language. It was simply too much for Lollo. And when the cars suddenly stopped to raid someone's home, who had probably hidden weapons or an alien, she couldn't hold back any longer. With all her strength she screamed. The tires on the cars exploded and the windows cracked. There was a heightened mouse activity in the mud roofs, and one or two mice fell from the roofs and disturbed the homeliness of the villagers who would rather stay indoors than get out and get into trouble with the Arab soldiers. The worst affected were the soldiers, who for no reason started urinating and pooping on themselves. Tearful and wounded, she then ran away. No one was attentive enough, because of their own worries, to hear her scream and see her standing on the manure heap and then running away.
Will publisch more the coming weeks.
According to all legends.
Men performed miracles.
That is completely wrong.
The greatest miracles are performed by women.
To make a man realize how little he is capable.
Without a woman in his life.
if that is not a miracle then there are none performed at all.
My favorit author has many years been Arthur Conan Doyle do to his, With his wealth of detail and fantastic ability to create a wealth of detail rarely seen with the knowledge that was available at the time. In his novel suite The White Band he excels. Shakespeare the greatest of all poets. Today's poets divide themselves into a variety of genres. Free poetry, Egocentrism, Narrative poetry, prose poetry just to name a few. I myself wander between styles. From Old Norse drapes to blank verse to the ode.
This is one:
The longing was translated into now. Now is our time. They showed how life is beautiful. Days of sweetness gave them life's great meaning. Let the oaks and birches dance. Play your song, fiddler. Give them a tune. See others in silence smile and show their reverence. Through their lives they show paths others have forgotten. All their paths are filled with flowering plants. Step by step they move forward. Looking back gives knowledge. Never repeating the mistakes they once lived in. Always forward. Love is their word, action and everything. She and he. This couple wins everyone's attention. Others listen, see and learn.
Time is like a bubble in glass. A track in the asphalt or a scratch in the varnished everyday life of the present. The need for one's own time can be both devastating and filled with goodness. A time of solitude so good that the fantastic comes like a flower newly sown. Time for oneself can also be an unhealed wound. The clock runs out like its hourglass.
At about två weeks age my grandparents Märta and Edvard rasied me in Degerselet Råneå municipality. 1946 to 1954 when Moving back to Stockholm whare I went to school. Was moved up one class do learned writing, reading and counting. At the first mount wrote the first short story "When a Mountain met a Tree". Starting dance classes at a age of 10 years. Left school at 16 and went in to the Royal Opera ballet school. There was allways something nagging in me. Tryed to look like the traditional arketype of a poet. Never met the standard. My collegues in dance ware not in to reading. Spent a lot of me freetime whis was more less in social meetings like dancehalls and like most young poeple wanting a girl. There ware a numbers but no one close to what I hade a daydream about when after beeing bullied in a new school went out at a loong walk dreaming of walking to where the sun was setting. A girl with deep brown eyes and black hair smiling and as she turned and walked away in to the glare of the setting sun gave me the big urge She was to be my wife and even if I am close to the end of life She is my wife.
Rather later doubths came. Understood less than I wanted. Went in to silense just to learn howe to listen and sort all that was sayed. Did not utter a word during one year. This is my ealy life.

Ballet specialist at Stora Teatern
January 1974 - January 1976
Hired by Dick Ramstedt to be inspicient for Stora teatern's ballet troupe under the direction of Elsa-Marianne von Rosen. We came to work closely with each other in the innovation of her productions. It was a time of innovation in dance. Tour of London with her work to music by Emerson Lake Palmer. Ended the collaboration when SVT decided to record one of her productions. I became a project manager for this and an artistic consultant.
Director at the Royal Palace and the Swedish Consulate in New York
March 1976 - August 1976
The assignment I accepted was to stage a gala performance for the first public visit the King of Sweden made to the United States. Consul General Carl-Henric Nauckhoff was the one who received me on arrival in New York. He gave me free rein to contact actors and stage the show on Metropolitan's front stage Avery Fischer Hall.
After the performance, was contacted by the producer at Radio City Hall and offered directing assignments. I thanked him for that and called my wife. She was not happy with what I said. I made the decision to travel home to Sweden. Once home, I received a scholarship at the Dramatic Institute and was trained as a theater and film director.
Theater consultant at TBV and ABF
March 1981 - January 1986
The assignment began with the creation of a chronicle game in Lockne written by Per Nilsson Tanner. About 2,000 visitors came to the premiere. NBV and ABF realized that there was a great pent-up need for theater in the county. After staging Mio min Mio with the cast that was created, the assignment was to tour with Mio min Mio throughout the county.
The next assignment in 1983 to stage Gustav Hedenvind Eriksson's debut novel From a fallen forest in the society he was born in, Högbynäs. The assignment became increasingly extensive. About 50 actors, dancers, set designers, etc. were hired. The assignment lasted for a year before the play premiered. SVT Umeå filmed. Therese Juel wrote the music. In 1985, I re-staged the show.

Director and screenwriter at Katrineholm Municipality

After contact with the Governor, I was commissioned to write the script and stage a musical theater called the Iron Age. In Hälleforsnäs I found a large stock of machines and compartments for dv minerals. The coal house at the mill in the community had been abandoned for many years. It was quite due. The roof healed. Saw the potential of the coal house which was gigantic 18 m in ceiling height. It was in this local script that the script was staged in August 1995. Among the visitors was the then Prime Minister Ingvar Carlsson. More theater productions came after the Iron Age and Kolhusteatern is still active.
